That's just like saying it's better for a politician to twist the truth a little instead of telling a whopper. Or it's better for a fisherman to exaggerate the size of the fish he caught by 15% instead of 30%.

No matter what, this strategy will backfire exactly like John Fowler predicted. The conservativeness of the ModelHertz numbers is only a smokescreen covering AMD's true intention: to change the rules of the "MHz sells" game that they happen to be losing big time.
