Hi Jake,

I've always been so skittish when it came to shorting. It requires experience that is contrary to my lifetime viewpoint. I realize that is just me.

I guess since short positions are growing so fast - your scenario makes sense.

I often figure the really smart shorts are the guys who dared to risk the (now) obvious top and are cooly waiting for a nice capitulation bottom.

Perhaps that gives the overall short community too much credit.ggg

Usually I think most people are too gunshy to get real margined at the bottom - unless they were just holding on.

At any rate the margin should diminish at a bottom turn
