It doesn't have to go down 500 pts in one day. If it does, then the next day will be an up day, for sure.

But this one is more likely to do what it has done so far -- get sour slowly with time. Just like the Nikkei did. I don't think the Nikkei went down more than a few percent on any one day (the max was probably 6% or 7%). Yet, here we are -- making 17-year lows!
