hmaly,

re: How much faster does a 1 ghz P3 do benchmarks on average than a 500 mhz P3. Twice as fast. Not on your life. In most cases, from what I have seen, performance is only 70% faster even using identical processors except for mhz. Letting the customer believe the 1 ghz performs twice as fast as a 500 mhz is also a lie of major proportions.

Who ever said a 1GHz performs twice as fast as a 500 MHz? Who do you think believes that?

You guys act like Intel dreamed up clock speed as a deliberate hoax. It's an industry standard that used to be more significant, has become somewhat less significant.

MHx was a WONDERFUL thing when it was to AMD's advantage. Now it's a sinister plot by Intel.

Typical Droid denial, can't get the MHz, reinvent the MHz.

It's pathetic.
