Those aren't contradictory. One is what the gurus of Wall Street are saying (and they've never been wrong, have they?); the other is straight from the horse's mouth. My understanding is that they are hiring very selectively, while at the same time allowing attrition, for a net small decrease (a few hundred out of a staff of about 40K) over the coming year. So when they say they're hiring, that's true, but it's not the full story (although the full story is readily available if you listen to their conference call -- it's just not the subject of a full page ad). Pretty innocuous, I think. JMHO. Do your own due diligence and form your own conclusions. Charles Tutt (TM)
