I had forgotten how really bad it's been for the Japanese market. It is getting close to a 15-year round-trip from 10,000 and back again:

That's worse than the Dow in the 1930s, in terms of protracted decline (not total percentage decline). I bet the word "stock" in Japanese is an insult, as in "What kind of a stock are you?"
