Hello HowsMyDriving!

I just came across your thread. I'm an Infospace shareholder as a result of the Go2Net acquisition. I sold most of my Go2Net stock after the acquisition was announced in protest. In fact my protest thread--entitled the "I'm Against the INSP/GNET Merger" is still up for all to see. My residiual interest in Infospace has been basically depleted of value by this point but I'm keenly interested in the company because I believe that Infospace's Authorize.Net and wireless subscriber businesses really do have extraordinary potential if management can realize it. I have been posting on the "Infospace: Where GNET Went" thread where there is one other serious poster, Roger Sherman, who doesn't post hearsay but actual fact that he rigorously attempt to verify. I cannot say the same for the other posters. Some of them are so rude and insulting that I believe that there is a loose confederation of individuals who would like to see free discussion of Infospace completely quashed, which, of course, serves no purpose. You're sort of off on your own here. It's unfortunate that discussion of Infospace has become splintered among several threads instead of located in just a single place. I also respect your need to have a moderated thread to keep the bozos out. I would respectfully suggest you might consider posting on the "InfoSpace.com {INSP}" thread; although it is unmoderated. The bozos have tended to avoid visiting it and your, thankfully, serious posts may develop more of an audience. I may join you in posting here in the future, but also I will post on the other threads. I've found the "ignore" button to be quite helpful in dealing with the bozos. If you ignore them, you will never see their posts again ever. I'm very happy to discover that there is still another person, in addition to me and Roger Sherman, who are interested in having an informed discussion about Infospace and who actually value the verifiability of what we post as fact and attempt to avoid, as best we can, the kinds of petty insults and rantings that a sick cadre of individuals seem to wallow in.

Regards--

Puck
