"I have bought some JDSU and am trying to decide when I cane expect production to turn up."

Probably when fiber optic capacity begins to grow from its current single digit utilization factor which could be a VERY long time! The problem with fiber optics is "last mile" broadband connections to the consumer market. I would dearly love a broadband connection but there is no cable, no DSL and no fiber ANYWHERE in my forseeable future. The only possibility for access to broadband for many is either satellite (Direct PC) or wireless...my bet is on wireless. JDSU may be cheap but frankly the whole fiber optic area appears to be a 200 MPH racetrack built for a world of tricycles. Wish I could be more optimistic but that's the way I see it. Pray that CDMA wireless access begins to fill up those racetracks eventually!
