That book might be useful for writing a science fiction story about an alternate universe where the size of the satellite is a factor in orbital calculations. In such a world the altitude of a geostationary orbit could be moved up or down by changing the size of the satellite, allowing CDMA to be implemented from GLEOs. The development of the Globalstar system would be scaled in to cherry pick specific geographic areas, and Maurice Winn would be the richest man on the planet! <ggg>
