KB,

You are looking at it right, but you are confusing TRIN with the ARMS Index. TRIN represents a one day event. The ARMS Index is a 10-day moving average of TRIN.

In a Bull Market Scenario, an intraday TRIN over 2.5 is a slam dunk buy right now opportunity. In our current market, 2.5 is just another Sunday in Pleasant Valley, Or so it seems. I made the mistake of buying tech equities about 3 weeks ago based on this one day event.

JQP, Ed and myself are early with our buys. Dabum and Metal Trader will wait for a turnaround signal before moving in. I wouldn't be surprised if more experienced traders like yourself, Jim P and JimL will nail the bottom within days of the event.
