Art, <Large companies like Vodafone and Verizon, unfortunately, have lost the entrepreneurial spirit and, having control over large portions of the market, don't need to be innovative. They acquire an attitude that it's okay to provide whatever service they think is sufficient, and when, rather than try to meet or generate new demand. It's this stodgy attitude that will result in less interest in the real possibilities of CDMA, and will in the end make CDMA a first class technology with hardly more than ten percent of the market. >

Don't forget that good old competition factor. Leap Wireless and other companies are all getting customers. At some stage, prices enter the picture of competition and stodginess won't sell. They will suffer multitudes of losses of business as competitors with low cost capacity erode the market share of the big and lazy.
