Sydney Morning Herald - ABIX - Australasia; Sep 1, 2001
BY SUE LOWE

Australian Internet company, Spike Networks, reported a $A19 million annual loss on 31 August 2001. Spike accrued a $A14.5 million loss from the Spike CyberWorks venture and also suffered heavy losses from the winding down of Spike Internet Radio. In November 2001, Spike shareholders will vote on a proposal which would see Techpacific assume 65 percent control of the company, reducing the stake of founder, Chris O'Hanlon, to eight percent.
