My office is "open air", shielded from the sun and the rain, but completely out in the open on the roof of a house perched on a hill. As I write this note, a nearly full moon rises in the east over the Pacific ocean. In the west the sky is deep purple and red. The daily trade winds have subsided and the smell of cooking is in the air as families gather in their kitchens and around their barbeques at the beach. There is peace. What problems there are in the world seem small, distant and self-inflicted. If only the tranquil moments could be put in a bottle, to be opened in those other times when people forget how easy it is to be happy -- if only they would be brave enough to be happy for no other reason than to be alive and loved by family and friends. There is nothing missing. There is no need that is not met. There are no regrets -- there is no fear, no doubt. Just the moon ascending majestically to show us the way home.
