Hi Mindmeld, yup, I have no intention of being kibble.

I think you give "analysts" a bad rap, IMHO. You are right about the touts and shills whose employers give them the title "analyst".

But I know a few analysts on the buy side. And a few "real" analysts. They too look at the stuff trotted out for public consumption and sneer.

You know better than me that it's all marketing, and the product that is being marketed is a dollar vacuum, and that the target of this activity is folks like yourself.

I suspect you, like me and the rest of us have first hand experience on how well this marketing works.

But back to my point. How much would Cisco's EPS have been effected if they hadn't slipped depreciation of fixed assets in with the other cost of acquisition. Any ideas?
