Jamaica 1 - Mexico 2

For Mexico, it was la hora de la verdad. In the 10th minute they go down by an own goal which was attributed to the extreme nerves and importance of this game for the Mexicans. Once again a team that scores the early goal goes down to defeat. I never liked those early goals because the team that scores it naturally become a little care free and not as focused. Slowly the Mexicans started settling down but the pot smoking Jamaicans were more interested in finesse display instead of finishing off the Mexicans. Early second half just when you thought that the Mexicans will need a miracle to score the ever opportunistic Blanco ties the score. As the Jamaicans pushed forward a bit more, they totally opened their leaky defense but the Mexicans continued to fire blanks until Blanco again saves them with another goal. Then the Jamaicans woke up but it was too late, the more experienced Mexicans easily held them off. So now it appears Jamaica is out of it and it now comes down to Costa Rica, USA, Honduras and Mexico. Even if USA loses at Costa Rica, as long as we beat the Jamaicans here we should be in the WC. I think the Honduras is a better team than Mexico right now but I do like how the Mexicans have responded ever since they fired that coach, they are playing with ultra urgency and passion.
