Mucho, you didn't read the article about Pele-Phone correctly. They are staying with CDMA in 3G, as in their 800MHz spectrum, but they are thinking of bidding for spectrum for the vapourware version of CDMA [W-CDMA]. wireless.co.il

If you read more carefully, you'll see that they decided that they couldn't squeeze their data requirements [using 1xEVDV] into their existing 800MHz spectrum where they use CDMA so they decided to bid for extra spectrum in the 3G auction and use that.

CDMA has been successful in more than two countries. CDMA is also going to be used in ALL 3G standards. I'm sure you understand that.

As you say, it's good when you use facts rather than some vague hand-waving because it's easy to refute your "errors".

This is a little off-topic folks, sorry [but it does show that CDMA is a great fox hole].
