Hi DJ, my sister-in-law's ex-husband, a Frenchman, fell for a Nigerian scam in HK. The one with a suitcase of special black ink coated USD notes that require USD 25,000 of special chemical to clean off, and the resultant spanking new cash to be shared with the turkey who comes up with the USD 25k on consignment.

After the Frenchman's run in with the Nigerians, he than tried to introduce me to his new friends from Central Africa looking for diamond mine investors.

I have also received a few of those enticing faxes from Nigerian military, central bank, petroleum, and construction executive types. I have had much fun punting back and forth with them, but of course that was before the days I joined SI :0)

My office is on the 23rd floor of a building immediately adjacent to the prison/police facility on the hill edge of the Central Business District. My window overlooks directly into the prison compound, and there are three groups of exercising prisoners each morning, at separate times: ethnic Chinese men (basket ball game), women (walking and talking), and Africans (basket ball game).

Chugs, Jay
