The item obviously relates back to the recent announcement that the SEC is looking to propose to drop the Short-Sale Rule in some or eventually all stocks. . . as well as showing their motivation for even suggesting such a ludicrous proposal.

Also, obviously, any item that has not yet been adopted is open for comments and letters written to Laura Unger, the SEC Chairperson or to the NASD, or to your own representative of congress [see links on last post] of to other persons in Washington, such as the Speaker of the House, President, etc. What difference does it make?

Ultimately, the SEC works for us. . we pay their salaries. . . whether they realize it or not. So they will listen to us WHENEVER we have something to say to them. The important part is that we let our voice be heard loud, clear and often. What do you think about calling some media attention to the whole short-sale rule thing that seems so covert? It seems every time I post about it, I get plenty of response. . . could make for an interesting feature story. And such feature stories have a way of destroying the best laid schemes. Suggestions anyone? Could be fun.
