'...beer will get you through times of no money better than money will get you through times of no beer.'

An investment comparison of beer versus Nortel - stockhouse.ca

Interesting Al, what criteria are you using for the scans? ... yeah not a bad summer, a little damp, the lawn here is green and that's rare for Labour Day .... strange mix of forces in local real estate, there would be something of an overall pickup starting out of this cycle's trough if it wasn't for the US lumber tariff, that is hitting very hard and promises to get worse before it gets better

Stocks - a few favourites excepted, i haven't thought about them much for months ... generally i like minerals here, for instance copper - aur.to, imn.to, fm.to, maybe ivn.to if you don't mind ol' Toxic Bob et al ... the oilpatch i resolve to watch more closely, but carefully .... got a list of quality gold juniors i'll add to first though ... there will be exceptions in the tech of course, a few winners, but how do you pick them among the rotting flotsam going out with the tide, this is the question ..... i do think this coming 15 Oct to 15 Dec period will be a good time to place fresh cash in stocks, but very verrry carefully, many of those high-flyers will never come back
