Bruce - I never meant to say Moore's book caused the bubble. Just that it had a significant effect on the market. It did indeed capture a set of thinking that was present in the marketplace, articulated it carefully and re-affirmed its value. Which thinking was part and parcel of bubble psychology. Neither cause, nor effect. More like a historian's chronicles of a war in progress influence its outcome. Butterfly wings flapping and all that. As to whether or not his book had a significant effect on the market? Hmmm... I think it would be ironic for this thread to consider the effect of his book "insignificant", wouldn't you? John.
