re: Even if some other technology appear to hit some wall, like you seem to suggest for storage technology (although I believe some form of Moore's Law for storage technology will also apply), human ingenuity will overcome the barrier - like spreading the data around different storage devices and keeping more data in memory, etc.

It seems pretty obvious (to me) that eventually most all data storage will move to flash memory or a derivative of flash. Product categories always evolve away from moving parts. Need a lot more capacity and lower prices. The change will probably begin in the next two years with notebooks and take about 10 years to complete. Read/write speed is still an issue with flash.
