Gottfried, Thanks for the info. Thanks also for the idea of selling those stock certificates! I wonder what they would look like framed and hanging on the wall - a snapshot of history, and worth something after all!

For the stocks that will some day come back, I have an interesting idea. There was a Wall Street Journal article about 10 years ago that claimed that some scientists had successfully frozen and revived a hamster. I wish I had kept the article, still wonder if that was for real. Anyway, here is the idea: Have yourself frozen until the Nasdaq or AMAT gets to whatever number you want. When they wake you up, you could head right to the Ferrari dealership, and start spending some of that money.

Wouldn't work though if everyone started doing it. Somebody like Greenspan would have to control the freezing rate, to keep a handle on the economy.

Right now I will settle for just a good night's sleep, hope I have more money when I wake up.
