Mike, i agree, because the fed has seemingly been able to control the market's destiny in the past with a little break here or a little gas there, doesn't mean the fed can control all situations, hey the dood said irrational exhuberance in 96 and the sucker still kept going straight up -g-

the fed is a trader too, it's easy in hindsight to say shudda wudda cudda,

but in this case, a situtation that only happens two or three times a century, in this case the shudda might have been a wudda to late anyway -g-

i find all this fed bashing tiresome, the fed is only part of the make-up of the markets, this kind of stuff assumes that the fed has total control, which is ludicrous, did the fed advise standard & poors to move yahoo into the the 500 when it's market cap was already equal to all the smaller countries in the european union added together -lol-
