Remember Moses after he descended from Mount Sinai? And found that the Hebrews had made to themselves a golden calf to which they sacrificed and bowed
in adoration?
(BTW: They would have been much better off worshipping the Calf
than your Golden God of absolutes , by far .)
But to keep the law
sacred Mr Moses shattered the Calf into dust , made the
Hebrews drink the water with the dust mixed into it ...
Afterwards, Moses assembled the sons of Levi and said to them:
"Thus says the Lord God of Israel, Put every man his sword on his side, and go to and fro from gate to gate throughout the camp, and slay every man his brother, and every man his companion, and every man his neighbor" (Exod. 32, 27-28).
Of course in his zeal to preserve the true religion of God and prevent all the Hebrews falling into the degradation of idolatry Moses had twenty three thousand of his fellow race killed that day.
As I said , they were better off without Moses , the Golden God
of Moses , and instead worshipping the----> calf !
but the followers of Moses were by far
the more murderous & more vicious.
** Yet that we became clever killers , did we
ascend and evolve to the present day "believers" <gg>
