You analogy of purse snatching with tax evasion is inapt for several reasons.

The vast majority of citizens believe the state should enforce laws against theft, especially theft accompanied by assault.

I contend the vast majority of citizens think the Federal tax laws are unjust, for very good reason - they are.

I don't practice nor recommend tax evasion. That is wrong. I cite the widespread predilection for doing it as evidence that the tax laws are corrupt and unjust. The fact that the unjust tax laws go uncorrected year after year despite the demand of citizens for relief is disturbing evidence that our Representative Democracy, in this case, is NOT working.
