Everyone's entitled to an opinion, and I'd like this fellow's opinion a bit better if he backed up his soapbox monologue with some data, such as rising unemployment in the DC area (not evident yet--latest figure for Northern Virginia suburbs was 2.8 percent), excess housing units for sale (inventory still quite low), speculative buying and selling of homes by people who expect to make a killing in a few short months (this breed hasn't been seen since 1990).

He also didn't mention that the federal government was going to go out of business, that defense contractors are laying off employees, or that any other segment of the diverse Washington Metro economy was in danger of collapse.

Time will tell. Wonder how much that writer gets paid to spout off like that?
