Read carefully Archie, perhaps you missed the point. Here is the release from Motorola's web site:
corporate-ir.net; item_id=203874

Motorola has a relationship with Emcore. (although I do not know to what extent anymore)

Motorola may be using Emcore equipment when they "found the recipe."

"The idea was originally developed by Motorola Labs' scientist, Dr. Jamal Ramdani. Developing and proving the exact recipe and process grew out of work done by a broad team of scientists and engineers. Motorola Labs is now working on developing the optimum intermediate layer for indium phosphide and other materials."

The point is that this is good for the equipment manufacturers as they buy new equipment from Emcore and then lease the patents from Motorola.

Hey! guess what just popped up on Yahoo news right after I posted the Motorola story?

"Motorola Unveils New High-Speed Chip Technology"
dailynews.yahoo.com l

I'm glad to see Emcore's investor relations reads this message board and then gets the OK to release that story to then include Emcore's name as a beneficiary to Motorola's "New Breakthrough."
Why would they do that Archie?

In fact many companies are working with Indium compounds as "breakthroughs."

Woops! Here is another one that was missed:
