Micheal H., Re MOT and exotics....

Plans to Commercialize

Motorola has filed more than 270 patents on inventions related to this new technology and the company intends to broadly license the technology. Padmasree Warrior, a Motorola corporate vice president has been selected to lead the commercialization effort. Warrior has worked in all aspects of the semiconductor segment, including device technology, research and development, process engineering, manufacturing and pilot line ope

If anyone talks to EMKR please find out if they are listed in any of the patents. Any tech experts who can say whether MOT will actually be able to control this technology. Seems like if they buy some reactors and make a few changes to the recipe, use say different angstroms of InP and it works that everybody will be doing it?

But then if everybody does it, will EMKRs own optical product line have more competition? Or is their head start and expertise make them a M&A target? Interesting stuff.
