Ice,

I know for a fact that owls love to eat bats. I used to watch one hunt outside my bedroom window at about 10pm each night. I had a 250 year old cedar, right there up close, under which a horde of bats would circle around (for the horde of mosquitoes), and it was fascinating! The owl would screech in at exactly the same time each night and without skipping a beat snatch a bat in flight and sweep over to another tree to feast. Then it would screech and come back for seconds.
