Texas Pacific buying Japan KDDI wireless units-paper

NEW YORK, Sept 4 (Reuters) - U.S. investment firm Texas Pacific Group is offering KDDI, Japan's second-largest telephone carrier , an estimated 300 billion to 400 billion yen ($2.5 billion to $3.3 billion) to buy all the shares of three of its Tu-Ka affiliates, which provide wireless services, Nihon Keizai Shimbun reported.

The Wednesday edition of the economic daily, monitored in New York on Tuesday, said the offer price excludes some 380 billion yen ($3.12 billon) of debt that the Tu-Ka groups carry.
