Group International Inc.'s, AcSys Biometrics Corp., announces its Facial
Recognition System demonstrated 100% accuracy in the False Acceptance Rate
category in the primary visit results from Round Three of International
Biometric Group's Comparative Biometric Testing for IT Security and E-Commerce
conducted in 2001.
The important measurement factors for a biometric are known as 'False Acceptance
Rate' (FAR) and 'False Rejection Rate' (FRR). AcSys scored 0% in the FAR during
the primary visit of IBG's test, which means 100% of the time AcSys FRS set at
the medium threshold did not allow an impostor to incorrectly verify as someone
else and its FRR test resulted with a 3.1% outcome. This measurement shows how
often the system incorrectly rejects a valid user.
"We are obviously very pleased with AcSys' results from IBG's Comparative
Biometric Test. The False Acceptance Rate of 0% is very important to recognize
that in the primary visit AcSys' ability to reject impostors was infallible.
This is of paramount importance in addressing privacy concerns and the
prevention of identity theft, and even though the 3.1% False Rejection Rate is
quite an impressive number, we believe the False Acceptance Rate is a far more

also note that since this initial test was performed by IBG on our FRS version
1.3, we have actually improved our system with our upgraded version 1.5 and are
currently working the next iteration."
