RE: Kemble babes, Dogpaq is finally dead. The article I read said they are doing this merger to compete better with Dell, but they still will have a cost structure that is much higher than Dell's. Say hi to the family.
Great to hear from you Drew...How's the growing family? I'll bet you and Amy have the hands full and the diapers likewise... :o) You'd better slam that thing in the window and take some time off from having babies... :o)
Well, I see where Michael has been "deceiving" us again...Looong ago he predicted that one of the major ones would be exiting the PC business...IMO there are three out now...This "merger" will make the DEC and CPQ merger a spit in the bucket...Imagine how desperate Carly is or how hard up CPQ is for "redefining" their business...
I've had some help but late last year I stated that over the next 6 quarters DELL would possibly give up $7Billion in sales for the chance to put one of the big ones out of the business...DELL would in essence be "buying" someone for that amount...Well, the economic slump IMO has only accelerated this and lo and behold Michael has gotten a twofer here...He continually amazes me that he keeps his demeanor and predictions so low keyed...As a long term shareholder I surely don't want an Ali hitting the soap box but let's face it...He choked these guys off so quickly it's amazing...And, I believe he's waaaaay off on that $100 Billion and 40% of the market share...Sure he won't be getting there overnight but who's gonna stop him now? I've been yelling that these negative analysts have this and that BS comment about the industry and that DELL won't this and that so easily...Yeah, the same ones that predicted he couldn't sell direct outside of the USA...The same one's that said "SUNW was too ingrained in the workstations"...The same ones that said servers and storage was too complex for a "boxmaker"...Well, Drew babes...Who the flock is gonna stop him now? Let's hear what the analysts have for an answer...I can't believe someone hasn't posed this question to them or forced them to actually come up with a possible solution to stop DELL from taking it all...Because if ya ain't got a scenario for doing it...He's gonna do it and you should know this...If ya don't; why are you talking about the industry in the first place?
