"new code" being some bogus benchmark Intel cooked up to make it look like they didn't double the die size for no visible purpose? Just keep telling yourself that while P4 leaves Athlon in the dust. Any benchmark that shows Athlon losing is bogus! In case you haven't noticed, Elmer, the PC world doesn't exactly revolve around "new code", or it never would have standardized on the silly x86 instruction set in the first place. That "silly x86 instruction set" now produces the highest SPEC scores ever measured. Oh... I forgot... they must be bogus because Athlon produces some of the worst scores published. Get an Athlon and run your old code. Nobody needs anything faster that what AMD has anyway. EP
