Craig, the principle use for zinc is galvanizing steel for the auto industry. Both zinc and nickel (used in stainless steel) are considered late cycle "capital spending" plays. You have plenty of time to rotate your portfolio to that group. The metals considered early plays are copper and aluminum; I track them both on a daily basis to confirm possible trends.
