What the year where nothing is going to happen has in store for telecoms vendors?

Marconi will go under. It will not see next Summer.

Alcatel is a question mark. Very uncertain future.

Nortel will merge with Lucent and retroceed to the North American market.

Ericsson can't go alone until the next purchase cycle begins. Will merge.

Nokia will merge or will be alone to become -for telecoms- what Apple Computer is today for computers.

NEC and Siemens will morph into something else.
