Of course this means I may not be able to get a Powerbook 3400 without a six month wait.

I know Apple has been trying to break out of that reputation for slow supply of their best products, but when a major purchase like this come from out of the blue, the average consumer only sees a waiting list.

I hope they have a crack assembly team ready.

Maybe they can contract out or hire back the emplyees they recently let go (if they haven't found employment elsewhere by now - I hear Microsoft sent letters with job offers to many of the employees that Apple let go.)

On another note, Phillip Morris is making large equipment purchases when they are on the verge of a huge settlement over cancer liabilities? Hmmmm.
