11:26 ET Transocean Sedco (RIG) 28.59 -0.65 (-2.2%): Rumor in the market this morning that RIG would use its presentation at the Lehman Brothers CEO Energy Conference to guide down numbers for the qtr. Hearing from sources at Lehman that RIG did not lower numbers. Lehman says there are concerns about weakening day rates but Lehman has already factored lower numbers into their model, but did not rule out lowering numbers further if day rates continue to deteriorate. 09:20 ET Boston Scientific (BSX) 19.65: SG Cowen designates BSX its Action Idea for Today; firm starting coverage with a STRONG BUY rating, noting that stock trades at a 25% discount to large-cap medical technology; multiple upcoming catalysts could trigger the shares. 08:51 ET Texas Instruments (TXN) 32.10: Company issues 8-K filing confirming its outlook for Q3. Notes that the confirmation is being made for purposes of Regulation FD only and is not an indication or assessment of materiality. TXN is presenting this afternoon at the Salomon Smith Barney Tech Industry Conference.
