The RBOCs won't move fast. We won't see more than 50k ADSL lines
in operation by end-97. Ameritech had some figures suggesting only 1000 lines in (commercial) operation in their area (18m pots) by end 1997 - and only rising to 15k by end 1998. This is proll'y a little conservative, but I wouldn't think the ADSL manufacturers expect to hit oil for another 21 months, at least.
