I do believe in randomness and therefore free will.

Although I've often heard that determinism makes free will impossible, I've never heard that randomness necessarily leads to free will.

Which is more distasteful?...

A universe where your actions are predetermined from the beginning of time.

Or

A universe where your actions are determined as you go along by coin flipping.

I have trouble seeing how the type of "free will" that most people like to believe in is in any way related to the existence of randomness.
