Tony, RE: I would imagine the banks would want the back end to have the utmost reliability, availability, etc., and not therefore be a simple NT box. I'd agree. Back in the olden days, that meant Tandem, with few alternatives. Nowadays, there are a few more choices. Interestingly, Linux is starting to make inroads in financial services, primarily because of the reliability issue. zdnet.com
