I ordered a small number of dual processor Athlon MP workstations yesterday. Each configured with 1/2 gig DDR RAM (not the big deal it once was). Our VAR is configuring them with Inwin Q500 cases and the NMB460 watt PS, Matrox G450 32M DDR cards (you don't need bleeding edge video performance for code development). Our budgets are tight this time of year, but we have a number of developers who have been drooling over the compilation speeds reported in tests by Aces, Anand, etc. Expect to order 3 or 4 more next week, too. Nuff said? :-)
