Hi Tomato! I am not aware of any juniors being taken over in recent memory. Maybe Vaughn can help us out in that respect. DeBeers is losing ground, or will soon when these juniors start marketing their own diamonds and not selling through DeBeers. I dont think that they are too worried about the small companies because they can probably keep them in line. That is unless you have a large producer like Southernera will have the capability to produce massive amounts of diamonds if they chose to. Then I think that DeBeers may want to control such a company. Southernera has already stated on several occassions that they will market their own diamonds. DeBeers would certainly have access to the funds to purchase a company like Southernera. Vaughn is much more informed than I in this area and I am sure that if he has caught his limit of fish he will enlighten us on this possibility. Cheers !!!! Peter
