News Release
Mr Ted Daem reports
Ghana
Soil sample assay results from the company's Riyadh concession have delineated a
third large anomalous zone of possible open pit mineable gold saprolite oxide ore.
Recent soil sample results returned from the southwest of the Riyadh concession
have defined a soil anomaly extending over 2.5km in length and up to 500m wide
(the 100 anomaly). Trenching is in progress to define drill targets.
The R reef diamond drill program continues to prove the continuity of
mineralization between the previously identified 5,100 and 3,750 ore zones. The
results indicate that while the grades are lower than intersected in the main defined
ore zones, the widths are generally thicker.
Mali
In Mali, the company has three concession areas, Diangounte West, Mogoyafara
and Kolomba.
At Diangounte West, the company has drilled the first 25 reverse circulation holes
and is presently awaiting the assays. A trenching program is in progress over the
outcropping quartz vein systems at grid 3. Forty-one trenches are complete.
Assay results are pending. Geological mapping at grid 3 has identified additional
zones of quartz veining around a young granite stock. Drilling is in progress to test
the depth continuity of the quartz veins and sample the granite.
The company has a large number of samples which are currently backlogged at
the laboratory in Bamako. The turnaround of reconnaissance samples will
dramatically improve with the recent commissioning of the company's on-site
laboratory.
