House republicans proposing capital gains cut. It would be wise policy at this juncture even if only temporary. They would do well to shorten holding periods too and perhaps increase the loss limit beyond the current $3000.
Problem is how to pay for it? I would delay or reduce some of the already passed tax cut to do this. Democrats might support it this way and make it passable. mike
