UTEK or SVGI?

These seem to be two of the more interesting values in the
semi-equip sector. If one looks at the FY 98 estimates,
SVGI looks to have a stronger recovery than UTEK, but I
don't put much creedence into estimates past 6mos out or
so.

The Micrascan technology is certainly interesting, but
whether SVGI can actually produce units is apparently
questionable at this point.

UTEK has a monopoly on a tool used in disk drive
manufacturing, which may not bode well with the
warnings from Seagate, but maybe the rest of the
sector is doing well. It looks as though UTEK is
more of a "trailing-edge" (but cost-effective)
company, with some more leading-edge products
possibly coming out soon?

Any comments are appreciated!
