What do you thing of these thoughts? I know you fear a repeat of the 30's folly of carrying a big surplus down into a deflationary depression, but it seems there are three options.

1. Tax rate cuts - Best
2. New ongoing spending - Absolute worst
3. Pay down debt principle. (??)

I need to think about 3 more. It's not the most pro-growth option but is it a disaster? I don't think this is deflationary. You are returning cash to the private sector, this cash doesn't disappear, it's more likely reinvested than spent.
