John What I found interesting studying what happened back then and talking to my dad who lived through it was how few people were actually wiped out by the crash in 29 and later. It was enough to take down the system because there was NO system to fall back on. The banks had no back-up safety net at all!!! It wasn't until Roosevelt stepped in and created the "banking holiday"! When you look back and study that I'm amazed that we survived at all up to that point. Mind boggling comes to mind.... Eric
