Ericsson, TI strike chip technology pact

Ericsson Inc.'s Mobile Platforms division will use Dallas-based Texas Instruments Inc.'s chip technology when it licenses its next-generation phone systems to firms that want to make wireless devices. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Ericsson of Stockholm has its U.S. headquarters in Plano.
