A few years ago, our national gallery purchased a painting "Voice of Fire" for over a million dollars. This painting consisted of a vertical blue stripe on a red background.

Many common people feel that the public treasury was abused profoundly when this painting was purchased. Those same people were said to possess no appreciation for works of art.

I think the people who opposed this tragic waste were standing on the same ground as the child who shouted "The Emperor is naked!"
