Second day of extremely oversold. Near record volume on the COMPX. A lot of once high flying stocks now trading below cash value. I am not sure how long that can go on.
Even with the current sell off the number of stocks 1 standard deviation below its 200 SMA is still not at the extreme of April. It inidcates there could be some more down side to come.
SOX and COMP both signalling a continuation of the down trend. They are both oversold, but the lack of follow through on the rallies has negated the initial buy signal.
The fact that the signal is all over the place indicates a lack of conviction by traders.
Sector data. Given the amount of carnage, all these will have to be re-constructed. Many stocks are on the verge of disappearing from mutual fund holdings due to valuations.
